This is the third demo recorded by this south Italian duo (even if six songs for a total playing time of more than fifty minutes can be regarded as a real full length). What strikes me above all at first listen, is the general professionalism of the whole product. Everything sounds mature here (and to be honest I wasn’t expecting such a quality product from a band with such a cliché moniker). Complex and well thought-out songs created in a pagan / epic black metal way, the entire record breathes impact, aggression and brutality, fitting perfectly with fast black metal patterns that the Palermo based act play. Tracks are quite long (around ten minutes) and alternate fast guitar axed passages with acoustic bridges and more atmospheric surroundings. Legion Of Darkness perfectly weave their hateful black metal spirit within elements of epic / dark metal and manage to impose their own musical vision from the first to the last note. I just hope they will find the right drummer before their next studio visit. I’m sure, this band can expect big things to come.
